"Bad Ronald" is definitely the best of these books. That said, it is not a very pleasant book, one that I have no intention of ever reading it again.

"The Fox Valley Murders" and "The Pleasant Grove Murders" are both excellent, not least for some of the typically Vancean subplots.

"The View from Chickweed's Window" has its moments. The first chapter is pure Vance at his best.

I rather enjoyed "The Deadly Isles" although this is more a travelogue packaged as a mystery, except that it somewhat reminiscent of "The Palace of Love" in some ways.
