Can't argue about the story, which to me was certainly servicable but not too much more. As for the 3D, well, I've had my say; I think it was terrific and it certainly made me think about the possibilities of doing any number of great SF movies with this technique, along, of course with the world-creation special effects.

It is an interesting question, though. Cameron had a pretty good story with Terminator.

Inasmuch as it looks like Avatar will beat his previous all-time world box-office record, set with Titanic, it does seem that Cameron could say that he must be doing something right, though.
