This short list is very inconsistent and illogical. The compiler probably only read two or three stories. If you include a Moon Moth mask, you have to include all the other dozens of examples named in the story - and a mask is hardly an invention, whatever the individual design.

Right off the top of my head, I think of:

Sandblast - accelerating a grain of sand to relativistic velocity creates a devastating weapon

Marmalization - now here's a process that converts abstract thinking into a "realistic" memorial

Balloonways - as described in great detail in the Durdane books, and the related Monoline of Big Planet

There must be dozens of other such inventions in Vance's SF (Axo, want to add an item to your Trivia department?); as one appreciative critic once noted, there are a lot more inventive notions in Vance's stories than he is usually given credit for as a stylist and "non-gadget" writer.
