When I read the post on

I was thinking about another issue.
How does one arrange his/her affairs on Internet after death.
I have no plans and expect to reach 80 minimum. The influence of Vance is still there.
but the serious issue is this :
virtual friends would like to know -i guess.
It's normal to be away for weeks, how to make the move known on time ?
My children wouldn't care except when asked and...

Perhaps a bit of an odd topic, but following a relative's death, I was discussing making a will with my wife - we don't have any children so if we had a simultaneous (fatal) mishap, there'd be a complex mess to sort out.

This got me to thinking about a future home for my Vance collection - there's a VIE and several Underwood Miller limited editions. There's no one our families who would appreciate them. I guess I could leave them to the science fiction...

I just searched for a thing I posted a couple of years ago about an artist who worked with colored glass fibers, fusing them into artworks (windows), and could not find it. In fact, the earliest post of mine that I could find was from May '08. Did the earlier posts get wiped when the board crashed a couple of years ago, or am I not searching properly? Or what?? Question about Dutch

I read recently that the English word scow comes from Dutch schouw, "via a mispronounciation."

From my limited knowledge of Dutch, it seems to me that these words might actually be pronounced the same. Are they? If not, what is the pronunciation of schouw?
